Hello, thank you for visiting Golf4uCanada. I’m Dave Horne a PGA of Canada Professional and Master Golf Teaching Professional from Aurora, Ontario.

My golf career started 40 years ago as a junior golfer with a passion to get better and hit it long. 

•  As my game progressed, I strived to improve in more ways than one. I started by looking into my clubs  and discovered what a difference it made not only to have the right equipment but also have the right grips. I started re-gripping my own clubs and fixing my buddy’s broken ones. I realized that if I could get my buddy’s to listen to what I had to say about taking lessons and instruction they could improve their golf game. This wasn’t necessarily good for the club repair business but teaching golf lessons  was another passion that grew into a new career.

• I saw the frustration golfers experience and the disappointment they felt not playing as well as they would like.  Taking endless lessons only to come away feeling more confused and overwhelmed.  I knew there had to be a better way to help golfers overcome their obstacles and rekindle their passion for the game of golf.
•  I then embarked on a journey to learn as much as I could to teach golf lessons and help people enjoy the game of golf.

• I first started out by becoming a Certified Club Fitter through the Club Makers Society. I wanted to make sure I could properly assess my clients clubs and make any golf club repairs and  adjustments necessary. 

• I then became certified as a Master Golf Teaching professional through the Canadian Golf Teachers Federation, US Golf Teachers Federation and the World Golf Teachers Federation.
•  In 2020 and 2023 I was proudly named one of the top 50 Golf Professionals in Canada by the Canadian Golf Teachers Federation (CGTF).
•  Golf lessons with a purpose became the focus of my journey.

• As a Master Golf Teaching Professional and a PGA of Canada Professional I knew golf lessons where not enough, there was a key ingredient missing to help my students achieve their very best. To better understand the mental game of golf, I became a Certified Golf Psychologist.  I wanted to help golfers unlock and overcome any  psychological obstacles that may be holding them back.

• To enhance my ability to take my students golf lessons to the next level, I became a Certified TPI coach, with Level 2 in Golf, Junior Golf, Power and Fitness.
• This training has allowed me to properly screen, assess, and analyze golfers abilities as well as physical limitations in order to understand their strengths and weaknesses in their golf swing.

• Although there is an infinite number of swing styles, I believe there is one efficient swing style that is right for you.  With the proper TPI screening and a training plan, I can uncover your unique swing.
•  I'm looking forward to working with you and helping you through golf lessons,
